Things ChangeToday’s artwork: gluebook pages. I’m failing miserably at my goal of a set of pages every day this month—but I’ve managed to do a few. I’d hoped that a few of the folks in the Facebook gluebooks group would join in, but sadly, the group is mostly silent.

I’ve been slowly checking off things on my to-do list this week. Truck repaired: check! Follow up exam at the local Doc-in-the-Box: check! Anemia gone: check, more or less. The large, looming thing on the list is filling out a pile of forms to get myself into a local health program that will subsidize some of the costs of the surgery I need. The doctor at my follow up exam emphasized that I should get that done as soon as possible, and when I reminded him that I was uninsured, he mentioned the same program. The number of forms and support documents they want rivals the pile I submitted to refinance my house. In fact, I’m wishing I’d kept that folder of documents on my desktop, because I could have just printed them all out again.

I’m hoping to carve out a few hours this coming week to do garden things. The temperatures are supposed to get back up into the 50s towards the end of the week, and I have trellises to build, and new beds to build and fill, and compost and leaves to add before February 1st, when planting starts. I’m hoping to expand quite a bit this year…
