This week, I realized I had to scramble to finish the last book in my BYOB> round robin, because I’m running behind on getting a book ready for my next project. I have a habit of losing interest in old projects when I have a new one plopped in front of me, so when Livia’s book arrived, I told myself I couldn’t work in my new book until hers was finished and on its way home to her. Unfortunately, her book wasn’t one that sparked me right away, so I’ve been dragging my feet about working in it. With the flipping of the calendar page came a powerful new motivation: I had two weeks until the mailing date for both books. Tick-tock. Get on with it!

Fortunately, Livia’s book theme is Italian Renaissance, one that I have imagery to cover in abundance. Also, it’s a big book, which is easiest for me. I whipped together three layouts this week, and am ready to mail Livia’s book back to her tomorrow. That means I’m finished with this project, and can now move on to the next one: a dark round robin, hosted by the lovely Corinne Stubson that won’t finish until May of next year.

The new book artwork will probably start appearing shortly. Stay tuned…
